- Supervision of both site mechanical works and workshop refurbishment for ten WBHs
- Removal, disassembly, blasting, inspection, procurement, fabrication, modifications, coating, reassembly and reinstallation of the WBHs.
Summary
Gas-Fired Water Bath Heaters (G-FWBH) Inspection Programme was initiated to satisfy First Gas’s obligations for statutory inspection every ten years in accordance with the Health and Safety in Employment (Pipelines) Regulations. Many of the heaters have had no inspections performed since installation and several have significant historical internal corrosion scabbing which prevents the corrosion inhibitor from protecting the heater internals.
