OSD’s Role

  • Definitive Feasibility Study

Summary

Zamin Resources was evaluating the feasibility of developing its Minera Aratiri magnetite project in Uruguay. The proposed mine site is located near Valentines, Northeast of Montevideo.

The project was considering processing and transporting 18 million tonnes per year of magnetite concentrate via a slurry pipeline. The slurry pipeline is to transport the concentrate to a future port located between La Paloma and Punta Del Diablo. A return water pipeline from the port to the mine site is also under consideration and is to follow the same route.

OSD was appointed by Zamin Resources to prepare a definitive feasibility study of the concentrate and return water pipeline system, including capital and operating costs for both pipelines.
